SHOWCASE
Below are some of our "claim to fame" projects which were either in publications, televised or part of a press day once completed. Extensive research and development as well as significant historical accuracy were paramount in completing each project under the most stringent, comprehensive and sustainable guidelines....but hey, that's what we do!
The Stickley Museum (Morris Plains, NJ -2023)
Commissioned to bring new life to the entryway of the historic Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Morris Plains, Catalyst Signworks took every detail into consideration in order to meet a craftsman style design (our favorite accent is the recessed crosshair channel on both fascias).
Ideation, site planning, Right-of-Way permit acquisition, zoning and building permit, full markouts and underground utility planning all played a role with this project and precise calculations were required to meet all compliance with both the local Department of Transportation as well as township requirements. This project was a homerun and, in our client's opinion, encapsulates the character of the property to a "T".
The Morristown Green (Morristown, NJ -2022)
This project landed on our proverbial work desks via cohesive partnerships with the Morris County Tourism Bureau, The Trustees of the Morristown Green, visitnj.org, Morris County Parks and a handful of extremely knowledgeable local historians.
Concepts, incorporation of keystone shapes of the Morristown Green, rich historical aspects and events (mostly of the Civil War era) and key components of the surrounding entities were designed and implemented throughout the main motherboard and all 12 individual markers throughout the Green. We were honored to assist in paying homage to all the history that came before us and utilized one of our latest cutting edge finishing to these signs which included directly embedded graphics which were also powdercoated to create an environmental barrier to increase longevity of each marker.
Proud is an understatement and we were very humbled to have the opportunity to work with such a epic team to produce some of the finest historical sign markers in the state.
The Morris Museum (Morristown NJ -2018)
Contracted to bring major attention to the entryway of the museum, we embodied the project by first conducting a traffic study to ensure angle of final placement of the sign structure would have a clean line of sight by multiple arteries of traffic. Second, we confirmed best size of sign, lettering font and overall font size for quick comprehension. Third, we completed R&D for most sustainable substrate to build the sign from. Finally, after completing design and engineering we were off to compliance and permitting. Ultimately the footings were 3' diameter and 4-1/2' deep which ensured that the only way this sign structure would move is if the mountain was moved. Overall cedar and aluminum were utilized throughout the build and the entire structure still looks great present day (2023).
Project: Audi R8 LMS Grand-Am (Germany/USA - 2012)
Commissioned to work exclusively with local race team, Limitless Racing, (as well as Audi of Germany) Catalyst Signworks designed and installed all graphics onto this hand-built carbon fiber custom Audi R8 LMS series Grand Am.
This was only the 3rd built Grand Am R8 arriving into the USA at the time and was a top-secret project in our shop until it was unveiled on Park Ave in NYC in May 2012 for a press release. From there, the R8 made it's Grand Am debut at NJ Motorsports Park for it's maiden race against the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Toyota, Mazda, Chevy and a slew of Daytona Prototypes - televised live on the Speed Channel throughout the 2012-2013 racing seasons.
Catalyst Signworks was also a proud sponsor of Audi Sport and Limitless Racing during the 2012 season as well as providing onsite support of graphic replacements during races to ensure Audi was always represented in the best possible way while being televised.
Morris County Tourism Bureau kiosk program
(Morris County NJ -2019-2020)
MCTB has entrusted Catalyst Signworks with some of their most sensitive and detailed oriented projects over the better part of the last 13 years. This project in particular encompassed dozens of site specific information and details that embody the county's ongoing efforts to ensure an enjoyable experience to tourists visiting the area and providing them with rich knowledge and history for all significant landmarks around Morris County, NJ.
Streamlined design, engineering and strict compliance across permitting aspects of each township to which we installed the kiosks was carefully orchestrated and executed through fruition.
The best part about these programs is when we see pedestrians and tourists alike enjoying the history lessons in the field. We also frequent most of these locations often as we live, work and play with our own families right here in beautiful Morris County NJ.
This program in particular covered multiple townships such as: Morristown, Chester Township, Morris Plains, Parsippany and Mendham; respectively.
Continental Airlines fleet graphics (Newark NJ -2009)
Contracted to produce and letter 16 Boeing 747's by this airline, Catalyst ensured proper R&D into the back-end of the project by consulting with our 3M partners to produce adequate graphics and bulletin oriented applications to withstand conditions, weather and altitude speeds that the aircraft will endure.
Catalyst Signworks was awarded this project based on competency, industry knowledge and overall service. We delivered and exceeded all expectations across the board for our clients and our team of professionals (and made quite a nice bookmark in our ever-evolving portfolio of projects).
